Abstract Expressionism
|
A product of post war disenchantment, this movement was mostly representative of American art, establishing itself in New York. Large works carried out in very individual ways, from throwing buckets of paint to dripping paint onto the canvas with a stick. An expression of self destruction, many of the artists did just that. |
